Supriya Singh

Supriya Singh is a writer and sociologist of money and migration. Supriya was born in India and moved to Malaysia at 23.  In 1986 she migrated to Australia. She lives in her homes in Melbourne and Dharamshala, and has two sons and three grandsons.

Supriya is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Social Inquiry at La Trobe University, Australia. In November 2023, she was elected as Co-Chair of the Multicultural Women’s Alliance Against Family Violence, Australia.. She is a Distinguished Alumna of Delhi School of Economics, and an Illustrious Alumna of Miranda House, University of Delhi. 

Supriya is on the Advisory Board of the Social and Development Research and Action Group (SADRAG) in Noida, India
