Nurturing Success: Tales of Organizational Growth

A blog by Abhishek Hardainiya chronicling his journey and insights gained while working with SADRAG NGO.

An internship is more than just a stint; it’s an immersive learning experience that offers hands-on exposure to one’s field of study or career aspirations. It’s a journey of skill development, career exploration, and personal growth. My internship at SADRAG NGO in Noida has been a privilege and a transformative experience. SADRAG, a non-profit organization operating in North India (Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Dadri) and South India (Bangalore), is dedicated to the capacity building of women and children, addressing their basic education, health, and skill development needs. Through this blog, I aim to share the invaluable lessons and experiences garnered during my time with this esteemed organization.

Within SADRAG’s ambit, I was immersed in the Ugta Suraj program, which focuses on providing education and training to children aged 6 to 14 years, facilitating their transition into formal schooling. My responsibilities included imparting foundational knowledge in reading, writing, and arithmetic, using innovative and interactive teaching methods such as visual aids, storytelling, and recreational activities. Additionally, I engaged with parents to raise awareness about the importance of education and encourage their active involvement in their children’s academic journey.

My tenure at SADRAG was a profound journey of learning and growth, marked by numerous insights and experiences. I gained a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s multifaceted initiatives, ranging from child education and protection to skill development and gender equality. Collaborating with dedicated professionals taught me the significance of teamwork and effective project management in driving sustainable change. Moreover, I became acutely aware of the systemic challenges hindering children’s access to education, including societal perceptions and economic barriers. Through empathetic engagement and critical thinking, I endeavored to bridge these gaps and empower marginalized communities.

One of the most enriching aspects of my internship was the opportunity to cultivate rapport and empathy with beneficiaries. By listening to their stories and understanding their needs, I discovered the power of human connection in driving meaningful impact. Each interaction reinforced my commitment to championing education as a catalyst for social transformation.

I am deeply grateful to Mala ma’am, and the entire SADRAG team for their unwavering support and mentorship throughout my internship journey. Their guidance not only enriched my learning experience but also instilled in me a profound sense of purpose and responsibility. As I embark on the next chapter of my journey, I carry with me the invaluable lessons and memories forged at SADRAG. My internship may have concluded, but my commitment to serving humanity remains steadfast, fueled by the enduring ethos of compassion and empowerment cultivated at SADRAG NGO.

In retrospect, my internship at SADRAG has been a transformative odyssey, replete with insights, challenges, and triumphs. As I bid farewell to this chapter, I emerge as a more empathetic, resilient, and purpose-driven individual. Through my continued endeavors, I aspire to uphold the legacy of service and compassion embodied by SADRAG, contributing to a more equitable and just society. The journey of learning and growth is perpetual, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have played a small part in the noble cause of uplifting humanity.
