Neha Kohli: (Assistant Director: Communication, Operations and Partnerships)

Neha Kohli is an interdisciplinary researcher and editor with over 17 years of experience across research, publishing, and knowledge production, currently transitioning into anthropology. She is pursuing an MSc in Anthropology, with training across socio-cultural, biological, archaeological, and linguistic subfields. Her work is rooted in socially engaged research and seeks to bridge academic inquiry with community realities, foregrounding lived experiences, cultural practices, and locally embedded knowledge systems.

Neha has held senior editorial and research roles at institutions such as the United Service Institution of India, the National Maritime Foundation, and the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses. She has managed peer-reviewed journals, coordinated international scholarship, and contributed to large-scale research and archival projects, including on Indian Army history. In recent years, her work has increasingly shifted towards community-centred narratives and culturally grounded documentation, alongside building collaborative networks and knowledge partnerships.

As Assistant Director: Communication, Operations and Partnerships at SADRAG, Neha leads strategic communication, supports organisational processes, and fosters partnerships that strengthen grassroots advocacy around gender rights, inclusive development, and the intersections of environment and climate change. She brings a cross-disciplinary perspective shaped by her background in journalism and international relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University and the University of Delhi, combining rigorous research with accessible, impact-oriented communication in support of community-led change.
